China

[ 1 July 2017 ]

CA collects data of power generation capacities from the website of the State Power Corporation of China from 1996 to 2014, due to impossibility of submitting it by the Government of China.

Hong Kong, China

[ 1 July 2017 ]

From 2004 all data are submitted by Hong Kong, China. No estimates by CA.

[ 17 April 2001 ]

CA estimates natural gas consumption for power generation based on import amounts of natural gas.

[ 20 January 1997 ]

Only total consumption figures for petroleum products are available for annual data. We used the ratio of estimated final energy consumption figures, which Trade Department of Hong Kong, China sent in April 25, 1995, to calculate the consumption figures for petroleum products in sectors such as industry and transport for annual data from 1980 to 1995. The used ratio is shown below:

Jet Mogas Diesel LPG Fuel Oil Kerosene
Transport 100% 100% 71.37%
Industrial     28.63% 9.01% 100% 15.49%
Residential / Commercial       90.99%   84.51%
Total 100% 100% 100% 100% 100% 100%

Indonesia

[ 1 July 2017 ]

From 2004 all data are submitted by Indonesia. No estimates by CA.

[ 17 April 2001 ]

CA estimates fuel consumption for power generation based on power generation amounts by fuels assuming a 30% thermal efficiency, which is the historical average during the period 1980 to 1993, as reported in the ASEAN ENERGY REVIEW 1998 by AEEMTRC (current name is ACE).

Malaysia

[ 17 April 2001 ]

Natural Gas in Loss and Own Use sector includes its use for Gas Flaring and Re-injection.

Papua New Guinea

[ 1 July 2017 ]

From 2004 Papua New Guinea EBT are estimates of CA.

[ 2 June 1998 ]

Data of Papua New Guinea are made from "Energy Statistical Yearbook" (the United Nations) by the Coordinating Agency.
